The Richmond area has so much to offer, including gorgeous outdoor parks, entertaining festivals, and a lively downtown. And at all these spots, you'll probably spot a food truck! Whether you're in the mood for tacos, pizza, or something totally creative, chances are you can find it at a Richmond food truck. Check out these local options.
- Babbs' Food on the Move
Babbs' Food on the Move serves American classics all over town. Customers love their cheesesteaks subs, smoked sausage, and grilled hot dogs. This is the perfect place to grab lunch when you're on the go or stop for dinner on your way to an event.
Babbs' Food on the Move updates their location often on Facebook, so you can find them easily. You'll also spot them at a lot of local concert series and at Midnight Brewery some Saturday nights.
- Intergalactic Tacos
Intergalactic Tacos serves tacos that are totally out of this world. Start your meal with an order of chips and salsa — the salsa is made in-house. Follow it up with the Local Pork Tacos or Local Steal Tacos, both of which are loaded with fresh sauces and veggies. Add a Mexican soda, and you have a great meal.
Intergalactic Tacos posts their location on social media sites regularly. You'll often find them at Veil Brewing - Scott's Addition, and you may spot them while looking at Petersburg homes for sale.
- Momma's BBQ
Momma's BBQ likes to call itself "Richmond's Favorite BBQ truck," and our real estate agents really can't argue with that. They make real, pit-smoked, slow-cooked barbecue and comforting sides. Enjoy a pulled pork sandwich, cornbread muffins, mac-n-cheese, and country coleslaw.
Momma's BBQ offers order-ahead services on their website. You can see where they'll be in the coming months on StreetFoodFinder.com.
- Fireside Pizza
Fireside Pizza keeps things simple, and it works for them. Their Neapolitan pizzas are so good they really don't need to serve anything else. They do have several different pizza options. The Heavyweight is a delicious pie topped with fresh tomato sauce, mozzarella, bacon, sausage, and pepperoni. The Maggie comes topped with roasted garlic and basil — vampires, beware!
Fireside Pizza does offer online ordering via their website. They attend a lot of festivals but also park in various neighborhoods on weekends. You'll see them in The Grove, Bel Crest, and Winterfield Park.
- JiJi Frozen Custard
If you're in the mood for frozen custard, JiJi Frozen Custard is the place to go. This dessert food truck hand-dips their custard, and they have lots of tasty flavors. Order it in a dish or a giant waffle cone, and enjoy.
JiJi can often be found downtown. They visit Walton Park, The Highlands, and Bexley. Look for them while you're out looking at Chesterfield County homes for sale.
- Chili P's
Chili P's does chili dogs right, topping each dog with a generous portion of their house-made chili. They also serve fries, which are seasoned with their own proprietary spice blend.
Chili P's is a Veteran-owned company. They stop at a lot of locations around Richmond and post their location on Facebook often. You'll often find them at The Answer Brewpub and at local swim meets.
